joshnii 2
Anyone else get very annoyed when you find someone has put you on their mailing list/newsletter without your permission - and don't even give you an easy opt out on the crap they send out to you? I don't necessarily mean total junk ones, but ones that friends/colleagues or people who think you might be interested in what they have to say/sell operatr. It really pisses me off. SnowJapan Admin SnowJapan 178 Posted November 20, 2008 SnowJapan Admin Share Posted November 20, 2008 We get loads. And yes, it is very annoying. Other than being annoyed, it sometimes amuses us how some people feel that what they have to say would interest us. They quickly get put onto automatic spam lists.
muikabochi 208
Yes. There's this dude in our area who seems convinced I'm interested in hearing about his crappy lodge every few months. no idea how he got my mail and I wish he hadn't.
JA2340 16
Talking emails? Use mailwasher - allows you to look at the first bit of the mail and decide whether to read the rest or not. Then gives you the option to bounce it (so it appears as if your email address is not functional) back at them. Snail mail is a different matter - I usually just bin stuff I don't recognise a return address on, so anyone who doesn't give a return address gets no chance!
BagOfCrisps 24
Mailwasher is fine, but you still have to give them tiny parts of your time.
