xxx 2
Now Australian school teacher David Sheridan knows how Jonah felt - or near enough. As this amazing picture shows, a huge whale suddenly rose up close to the surface as the 42-year-old New South Wales man was riding his kiteboard - a small surfboard suspended beneath a large kite. Seconds after this photo was snapped remotely by David's camera, mounted on the kite apparatus, the whale flicked up its tail and gave him an almighty blow on the back of his head. Mantas 3
I'm guessing it's a deliberate shot. Perhaps he got a much better shot than he hoped for, but deliberate just the same. Whales are very very visible for miles around. If he was out kiteboarding he would have seen it way before he went in it's direction. Of course I could be completely wrong. Rag-Doll 0
I'm with you Mantas. Great shot but not too sure about the "coincidence" of the whale just popping up unexpectedly like. Fair enough though, a lot of people probably would have done the same.

farquah 0
"...gave him an almighty blow on the back of his head." Think that may have been the Japanese whalers getting a bit for science actually not the whale!
