I'm currently living on a remote island in Indonesia (I will post a TR with pics in the next few days, time permitting). Anyway, my friend has just had satellite internet installed. It works on his PC laptop fine, but not on my Mac iBook. I'm used to just plugging in the internet cable into my laptop it works fine, but my computer can find no signal. I've also tried going through Network Settings, Network Diagnostic and the Assistant and entering IP, DNS and all sorts of other numbers but am not having any luck. Any info I can find on the net isn't of much use, so I thought someone on here might be able to help. I realise this is a very obscure question. What interest would I possibly have in living in a tropical paradise and surfing to my hearts content in warm clear water on clean quality reef breaks fanned by offshore tradewinds. pffft.
