igloo 3
Recently I've been going all Seinfeld with cereals. I wish they did bigger boxes at my local supermarket. Current fave is Frosties Crunch. Nice. What's your fave?
thursday 1
not at all a fan of cereal, but if at all I'd choose cornflakes. The normal type without the sugar coating.
Tubby Beaver 209
I've been eating this Granola cereal, really nice. Just not enough in the box.
HelperElfMissy 42
I'm off the cereals at the moment. Carbs and me are a bad combination - I don't metabolise them well, get sick, depressed and gain weight. The kids are keen on Nutrigrain and Sultana Bran.
indosnm 0
Just bought a small pack of weet bix and some uncle tobys instant oats. My 3 year old looooves nutri grain, though don't like giving it to him all the time. Carbs ain't bad in the morning.
HelperElfMissy 42
Bad for me Indo - I am insulin resistant. Don't get me wrong I love them! That is the trouble.
thursday 1
last century, I tried weetabix with milk. The bix dissolved into the milk and made a cement mixture. I don't like weetabix.
Mantas 3
My wife and I are cereal freaks. I have 2 or 3 bowls for breakfast every day. Sometimes after work too. Usually weetbix, cornflakes, museli , sometimes all 3 together.
Tubby Beaver 209
weetabix is ok, kinda of turns into a porridge if you leave it too long.
Ezorisu 0
I've always wondered about Weetabix - I always see the dirtbag super-economy kids buying that in Whistler. Are they just enormous shreaded wheat blocks with no flavour?
nzlegend 1
Weetabix and Weet-Bix are quite different beasts, Weet-bix found in Southern climes is quite a bit coarser and flakier than its smaller sweeter northern cousin.

muikabochi 208
They have some bigger boxes in our Jusco too. The "normal" sized ones are a bit of a joke.

thursday 1
weetabix is that wheat stuff compressed into a thick biscuit shape that crumbles to the touch and dissolves in milk to make a paste that can be put on the wall to cover beare bricks. Yuck. Dunno what weet-bix is. Shredded wheat are long stands of wheat strings wound into a brillo pad shape which don't dissolve quite as easily but needs a jack hammer to get into. HelperElfMissy 42
This is Weet-bix. Our dog has this for breakfast every day. The kids and hubby enjoy it sometimes. This is weetabix. Never had them. And this is shredded wheat.. I used to enjoy this as a child with honey or golden syrup drizzled on top, then warm milk added. The warm milk softened the wheat enough to make it enjoyable.
thursday 1
see what I mean about the brilo pad and the jack hammer.
Mantas 3
You can't knock the taste of Weet-Bix.......there is none.

Ezorisu 0
Guess I'll have to try those... I do like shreadded wheat.
thursday 1
why? Shreaded weet is just plain punishment.
Ezorisu 0
It's wonderful with milk and honey. Now weetabix - from the pictures, I should just cut out the middleman and flush it straight down the toilet!
