What colour of lens is best for the various light conditions that mostly happen while on mountain?

I notice that there are many different colours that all seem to be for different light conditions

platinum/mirrors for sun.

High Intensity persimons, roses and yellows for flat light.

Clear for night.

If you only want one lens (because you are willing to spend hundreds or thousands of dollars a year for riding, yet can't justify more than one pair of goggles) then just get a persimmon. (orange) And shut up when your only goggle fogs up when it's storming.

As a result of being friends with he manager of the Smith team I have almost every lens colour they have ever made for Prodigy goggles (and about 5 frames). In Japan, where there is little above the tree line and it snows so much I almost never use anything but the low light sensor lenses (the bluish ones)
