soubriquet 0
Due here tonight. It should look like a red moon for about 2 hours from about 6.30. Cloud is breaking up so hopefully I'll be able to catch it. AEST is 2 hours ahead of Japan (I think). http://www.news.com.au/story/0,23599,22318761-2,00.html

Mantas 3
The shadow is moving up the moon. They say it will go red at about 7.52 pm. A 'Blood Moon' Imagine all those ancient tribes freaking out over a 'Blood Moon'. What sort of omens would they have come up with?
Mantas 3
That just inspired me to change my avatar. That wombat was freaking me out anyway.
Mantas 3
Well I'm not easily impressed with astrological event, they have been over-hyped in the past, but this was spectacular. A brilliant Aussie spring blue sky day gave way to a clear starry night. The moon did indeed glow red when it was in full shadow. One of the few times I wish I had a telescope. Ezorisu 0
Happened at midnight here in Hawaii. The weather was clear all day, but a lot of convective clouds formed around sunset. They cleared away just in time. Weird orange color.
