big-will 7
Yes another "new" Beatles album number 3 in the UK album charts. Seems like they have now started remixing the Beatles, so that will keep it alive for another 10 albums probably..
rach 1
Oh goody.
keba 0
Well just imagine what Paul's latest divorce settlement will be worth... I think we'll see a few more 'new' releases in the not-too-distant future...
soubriquet 0
We've been here before, keba. It's not a Beatles remix that concerns me, it's bluddy Wings.
frannyo 2
Did they fix a number on that divorce yet. Just who are his advisors?
gerard 6
Doesn't Micheal Jackson own the rights to the Beatles library? I wonder how this effects him. I'm sure he could use some cash.
bobby12 0
I think MJ sold those rights to Sony or something? Probably sold them for $50,000 in used notes and a bag of magic beanstalk beans.
number9 0
I actually read that it's a very interesting sonic take on the Beatles. Cirque sountrack mash up with superior sound quality to any other Beatles CD on the market (which is unfortunate as it just means straight remasters are coming later so that people can spend even more money on the Beatles). Nonetheless, I might want a copy. Must be the best soundtrack Cirque ever had, I always thought they had absolutely stunning shows, except for the very French new agey music. BagOfCrisps 24
I've only heard 10 minutes or so and it sounded interesting. Certainly wouldn't but it though. Lots of people are/will though.
keba 0
Sorry, Soub, missed that previous thread... me bad
BagOfCrisps 24
Heard it all now. It is interesting the way it has been put together. I believe lots of parts from different songs mixed into other songs, but everything is from the original Beatles recordings (ie. nothing new). Some clever parts going on. I read somewhere Mr Producer man said it was like the Da Vinci Code for Beatles fans.
keba 0
Not enough to cash in on their own reputations, someone has to drag Dan Brown into it as well? What is the conspiracy theory here? Do we find out that Yoko and Linda had a thing going if we play it backwards?
BagOfCrisps 24
I think he was referring to the fact that even tiny parts of lots of the Beatles songs were in the mix and it was really difficult to "find them all". Or something.
