muikabochi 208
As lovely as the trains might be, as smooth and fast as they may run, why oh why do the stations and lines have to be so incredibly ugly. I have been to both Yuzawa and Urasa in the last few days and the huge ugly stations and elevated lines are just a massive blot on the landscape. You'd have thought they could have at least made them a bit more pleasing to the eye.

IIIII 2
I know what you mean muikabochi - those lines are just monstrosities and cutting through the mountains is just so sad. I remember when I first saw the one in Yuzawa and thought wtf?!
ShinyDiscoBall 2
I spoke to a few people about this once as I totally agree with you. They seemed to be implying that people were proud of the huge structures - that it showed that they were living in a modern world and progress. (I decided to change the subject)
