me jane 0
Just noticed, haven't seen Gamera on here in a couple of months. Anyone know what he's up to?
Markie 0
I'm probably the last one from this forum to see him. He was building an incredible miniature train system in his "Early Bird Inn" which included tunnels, bridges, stations, landscape etc. I asked him to join our Easter BBQ over at Fattwins but he was too engrossed in his train building efforts. I expect he should have finished that by now. Gamera-san, gomenkudasai. Please post some pictures of your train network.

BagOfCrisps 24
I was more into scaletrix (sp?) than trains. They were faster! Vwooooom....
bushpig 0
Yeah, and occasionally they burnt the carpet! Well, at least, they did when the contact pad wore down and you used steel wool to repair it on the bottom of the cars!
big-will 7
They were pretty unreliable as well. The ones I had experience of were anyway. Fun though.
Fattwins 0
i think he is just relaxing like all the other locals right now during the slow season. and that train system is huge and the trains arent that small.

me jane 0
My dad's friend used to build minature steam trains from scratch. We could sit on little benches behind them while they pulled us around a little track. It was kind of like a fairground attraction.

But if any of you ladies are interested, you'd better hurry up because when I last visited him, there was a long line of josei-tachi outside his inn waiting for o-miai. scouser 4
I never had a really good scalextric set but my best friend did. It was great, we spend days on that. He got a really posh one and it was quite reliable actually. I feel like going shopping
