big-will 7
I just tried to use the phone, and also tried to connect to the internet (here I am) - and it took me ages to get a line. Becoz of a certain soccer game I suppose....?

xxx 2
Japans performance today so far is more like the Japan we have known until now. I hope the second half is better.
CubedOne 0
I'm not keen on that TODA fellow at all. He (surely) conceded a penalty in the last game, which the ref didnt see - and it looked like a penalty in the last minute of the 1st half today too. Anyone agree?
NoFakie 45
CubedOne I think I know what you're saying, but they won't show enough replays for me to form an definite opinion. Full marks to Kawapira for bringing up the foul up straight away at half time. As with the other Japan games, far too many niggly fouls for me to really enjoy the game. I would have associated more of that kind of stuff to a Mexico-Italy game, but it wasn't that way last night. Some great stuff from both teams. Still, Japan are through on merit alone and by avoiding Brazil the draw is opening up for them. Turkey then Sweden or Senegal to the semis. Sounds a lot easier than normal. scouser 4
I'm not keen on Toda either. He looks a right divvy.
miteyak 0
Do you think Japan stands much of a chance against Sweden or Senegal?

Ocean11 0
The World Cup seems to be being covered much more thoroughly on this board than the winter olympics were. I guess the WC is just a better, more straightforward show, eh?
frannyo 2
There seems to be more people around now than then too which may account for it.
