  1. And considering that I just bought a board, a new one isn't top of my list; however much I want a Charlie Slasher, it can wait.
  2. Depends on how long you are prepared to hold on for it. I'm thinking an April purchase time.
  3. Yeah, weekdays are cheap, and if you can choose the right shinkansens, you can get 2,000yen off the price as well.
  4. I almost went to Nakazato a few weeks back but didn't as it was a bit far from the station for me.
  5. Those who want home media centers? It's free? There are GUIs that can provide the same experience as Windows/OSx. A variety of reasons.
  6. Here we go: http://www.ukcitizenshiptest.co.uk/ But am scared now - what happens if I fail this test, and I'm permantly Australian?!
  7. Seriously, did I just become Australian over the internet? Like one of those priests that can be ordained over the 'net? Bugger. Balls. Bollocks. I don't want to be Australian.
  8. 19/20 - but most of the questions are common sense, which most Australians lack.
  9. I chose a windows because it does what I want it to do, and I can play the games I want to play. Back on topic, to the OP - give your a laptop a good clean, i.e. fans, defrag the HDD, virus check, and you should be ok for a couple of years.

  11. Depends on what you want to do with that machine really, doesn't it?
  12. Very much agreed, guys. I fancied a change from the melee that is Kagura / Maiko on the weekends. I probably wouldn't go back here again but was pleased I did go.
  13. Morning tours, well, if you got more money than sense, they are ok, but as TB said, you probably only get about 4/5 hours out on the slopes due to the time they arrive at the resort.
  14. Who cares about the differences between Windows or Macs, as long as they let you look at SnowJapan, then everyone's happy.
  15. I'd love to have taken photos but the weather so far this season, for me at least, hasn't been conducive to photos. Either has rain or lots of snow.
  16. Just a quick review here - nothing of Ippy's length. Or so I hope. Background This season, I am trying to get to as many new places as possible, and this is definitely one I have not tried before. I tend to use the JR day return trips, 日帰り, deals as you can get some money off if you plan the trains well, which means more money to spend at the resort. Yuzawa Park Resort is about a 4kms bus ride from Echigo-Yuzawa train station, and there is a free shuttle bus that departs from the East exit, every half hour or so, or on the hour. But be warned, it's quite a small bus, so get there e
