Not sure about that, Tubby. The Sydney Olympic park precinct is a well utilised venue! Sporting and cultural uses abound. The village was sold as individual units, some transported to other locations, and the rest (as I believe) used for a local housing development. The water sports centre is a highly used facility. brings plenty of money to the western suburbs of sydney, too!

Reminds me of a quote from one of my lecturers at Teachers College (for Woodwork classes) ... "In 'glue and dust' we put our trust, if that won't do then putty must!" (to fill holes in the surface, we were taught to use a mix of sanding dust and PVA glue to exactly match the colour of the wood being used.)

TBH, I cannot stand the flavour - sorta reminds me of Campari bitter and not refreshing at all. We drink a lot of soda water as mixer (with stuff like brandy, ouzo, whisky etc) and make our own from tap water (ex tank, so not treated) and CO2 injector (aka sodastream). No added sugar and cheap as! Occasional coke is all I do, and I mean like every couple months or so, and only a small one. Unlike when I were kid, used to finish a litre at lunch to wash down the 2 pies 'n' sauce I had on a daily basis at work.

DS, is it double glazing or just 2 sheets of glass? True double glazing has a vacuum between the layers, and is more than just sound deadening - it is also a greatly improved thermal insulation. We have 3 glass layers in our main doors, the centre layer is a brass light (sorta like leadlight but with brass separating pieces) and the inner and outer layers are plain glass just set into the frame. No vacuum at all, just an extra glass.
