Niseko Question
HelperElfMissy replied to Alexander L's topic in Snow talk, trip reports, Japan avalanche & backcountry
Kids gear should be BETTER...silly really. Niseko, we all know I love the place, but maybe March or April for little kiddies, its warmer, its sunnier, there is a tonne of snow to play in but less white out days, more bluebirds. -
1987 Stumbling out of nightclub with friends at 1am. Kebab shop next door (entrepreneurial of them!!!) I do believe that kebab made a reappearance an hour or so later. Doner meat and I do not have a great relationship either Chriselle. However swap the Doner meat for chicken, and it is all good.

I used to think I was the lucky snow charm ---> never had a shocker of a trip. Then there was this year in Aus. Not so lucky now are ya Mamabear!!! But I am pretty sure my luck will hold for the NH, and seeing as I arrive in J-Land on the 20th December, it should be well cranking by the 27th down south. I am feeling confident

I REALLY like my Soda Stream machine at the moment. Sparkling water whenever I want it without lugging litre upon litre of the stuff home from the supermarket. Genius. -
yeah...coz that is not going to get you beaten up on public transport!

bite your tongue! (although 4 weeks ago we brought a new 17yr old into the family - he will be with us for 2 more years while he finishes school)
-
Well yeah...duh! But if you are having a family, two is preferable to a tribe (for holiday travel). Is this the moment when I get to rub in the fact that while you lot are starting the journey, mine are almost grown...and that means very soon NONE to take on holidays!
-
Two is perfect for holiday bookings. Often a family room is a Double and twin beds, or two doubles (kids can share), most cars take comfortably 4, plane travel is easy booking 2x2 or 1 x 4 seats together, Family Passes are often 2A and 2C, rides etc are often a parent must accompany a child therefore if you have more than two little kids one parent has to wait with the others while the other parent takes a child one at a time... Two is very very handy. Having had 4, there were obstacles at times, but 'do-able'. SIL has 11. Travelling with the entire family becomes a 'Meet the Dug
