  2. i dont mind a frontside stack but the backside one goes something like: "uh oh, dont fall on your bum and bruise your tailbone, again! Fall sideways, fall sideways!"
  3. thanks again, bro. the taxi sounds like a good idea. The idea of travelling in japan terrifies me. I dont know why coz i have travelled all through southeast asia, india, and all the way to europe overland. buses, trains, trucks, tractors, with goats and chickens and bags of potatoes. I have no idea why travelling in japan freaks me out!
  4. i dont understand all this toe and heel side nonsense.. to me its either a forehand turn or a backhand turn.. i board natural and surf natural. My brother was goofy and he was right handed.
  5. I will be staying near the Shin-imamiya area thus far. I will probably take the dobuetsen-mae(sic) subway to shin-osaka. so if that starts early i think i will be right.. I might just take a later one so i dont have to rush like a mad bull..

  11. oh wow. that sounds yummo, we used to just chuck them in with the prawns when we were cooking them up.. and eat them on the wharf.. iced water stops them cooking any more , doesnt it.? the vinegar sounds a good idea, never thought of that. I used to be a professional fisherman and got terribly spoilt. I only used to eat the best. Now it is frozen fish fingers, lol..
  12. wow, that is totally awesome. love it.. --
  13. mantas, i will have to wait till i go to seals to get some abs then.. I must take some garlic with me.. I dont fancy sticking my hand down a big hole, you never know what is down there.. thursday, fresh abs are the best tasting thing evah! I prefer blue swimmer crabs to lobster, but i would be a massive minority.. trippy, i saw this tv show on nz fisheries officers busting these paua(sic) poachers. Like them highway patrol reality shows.. it was good. (sorry i forgot to say "bro") surf was tiny today, only six inches but i still went out because i have not

Do you have pots or just grab the lobsters? My mate used to do the rockies with about a dozen or so little pots from his tinny. I used to work the lobster traps out at sea. We went
  16. ah... so that is how you spell it?? lmao.. We used to surf the southern end of there ..hollow and sick as.. we used to drive our boats over from seals.. very handy.. and troll for some mackerel or tailor on the way home. There are heaps of tailor along those rocks there at the right time.. and delicious fresh unpolluted oysters. the only place i would eat them.. do you get many abalone where you are? I love a nice fresh abalone with butter and garlic - thin sliced and fried just right.. *drools*

I was out the back with a yank guy and all of a sudden i turned and saw this massive shape coming up out of the water at me. It was a ten foot bronze whaler. It had a huge massive head and just
  20. There were whales in Middle harbour today at sydney and they had them on the news. They are a great tourist attraction and there are lots more money to be made from looking at them rather than killing them.
