Cheers. I'm staying at TabiTabi. Doesn't look far on the map but check-in isn't until three. Don't know if they want there at 6:30 in the morning. -

Work that one out. I read the reviews on Pitchfork and it definitely looks interesting. -

Even if you have to wait 30 mins, so what?

Noboarding isnt about watching people in vids or TV, it is about doing and experiencing it first hand. Its not about the industry spears or some of the other suggestions in this thread. Its actually about having fun in the mountains with out need to justify your actions. for the record:

Burial 'Untrue'. If anyone's wanting to get a taste of dubstep, this is the most accomplished I've heard (of the little I've heard). Definitely too dark for the pop charts, but original with solid underground ethos. -
Thanks, trippy. Sensational travel advice as always. No problem. Glad I can help. If only the Lonely Planet would listen. But they wouldn't, they've got their heads far too up........

If you want to stay right in Shin-Osaka (5 mins from the station), check this place out. It's very Stalinesque in its architecture, but you're not going to miss your train!! http://www.solarehotels.com/english/chisun/hotel-shin-osaka/guestroom/detail.html

My mate stays here now. About 15 mins from Shin Osaka. Very good price for a hotel in this area and all in English. http://www.hvf.jp/eng/shinsaibashi.php

Will pass the link onto the wifey... I told her we should just get train from the Airport into Osaka, then find a nice cheap hotel to SLEEP! (long crap flight). Thanks for postinmg that link matey.. Unfortunately, many hotels that advertise in English tend to be overpriced. The really cheap ones are either too unsophisticated, too grungy or too scared to do so.

Hotels at shin-osaka are a bit more expensive but meh! Actually, Shin-Osaka has a lot of very cheap business hotels under 6000 yen. http://

A nopad (about $150 in Canada),a used board long enough for pow (i bought the one in the photo for 2000 yen), and some sorels are all you need. There is no need for fancy boots. i do however, reccommend wearing a powder skirt. Next time i go out, i'm gonna wear my super-soft 8-year old burton freestyles.
