Yep JR, I did 2 day trips this year. A day trip costs between 10,000 and 12,000. Also they have a trip in vju for Hunter Mountain. You dont really need to read Japanese its all pretty easy. On the mag that Longboad described, there is one mag that is for day trips only it has a big kanji for Day(sun) same as the first kanji of Japan (ni) I might even take another day trip this weekend kagura seems great.

Japan only gear

Indosnm? You sell Quiksilver? Two of my best Snow Jackets in my life were quiksilver. Japanese popular brands here are just rubbish, anything quiksilver here is just Roxy. I am so pissed at the line of selection for men in Japan even in Quiksilver shops. Is it even licensed in Japan? In Ireland and England everybody wears quiksilver. But here everybody wears kissmark or some equally rubbish brand. But more tanned Japanese girls wearing Roxy short board pants on kujukuriyama beach is welcome. -

All hats hare marked "F" in Japanese shops except those "Red" padded hats, that carry a warning that they are pretty much useless on impact. Flux bindings have lots of limited editions for Japan, I actually bought a set but had to return them because they wouldn't fit my boots. -

How about the actual stance, leaning back with a heavy forward foot? Or leaning back with a heavy foot for fishtailing? Or as I have seen some snowboarders leaning forward with a heavy back foot? -
It kills me on the mountain, every time I go up for the last run of the day, I don't feel overly tired. But my balance is useless and find it hard to make turns. When on skis I either end up falling and twisting my knees, on a board I can't fishtale anymore. How to stop it? Just go home at 4 instead of getting the last lift up? Another pointer, can anybody describe the best control stance for snowboarding. Not a neutral stance, but one where I can power down fastest but going from edge to edge easily. Its pretty easy to bomb down a hill on skiis, just lean back slightly an

I haven`t yet, I am still waiting to get somebody to come alone with me. Is a guided tour really really nessesary? I wont be riding anything over a 20 degree incline so it looks like I will be stuck on just the easiest face. -

Really? I was on Naeba on Sunday and I wasnt bothering taking the dragondola over. Actually I am going to Hakkoda on my own, none of my friends want to fork over the money or are not confident enough. I am not a good boarder, but who cares, powder doesn't hurt if you fall at any angle. Am I right? -

tsondaboy Is it Hakkoda? I have already booked my trip there. I was worried because its losing 10cm a day. I plan to hit 10 resorts this year, I have 4 under my belt but all my money is going on Hakkoda. -

I wouldn't like to drop off a chairlift into that firm base. This year I am really worried I wont see any snow monsters. But here is a pic of Nozawa I took on Christmas Eve. -
"Some resorts are hanging on by their fingernails, dependant on the cash from the lift ticket sales." Which Resorts? Chinese ones or Japanese ones? "So why do you dodgers do it?" Who are you addressing? Most people here find if offensive that you are calling us, i.e. people in Japan on Japanese Resorts ticket dodgers. You don't have any evidence to back it up. The only thing that resembles skiing in Guangzhou is when children actually climb up hills of slag and ride down them. I used to do it as a child in sand quarries myself. So what offense are you speaking about?
-
Well this is Snow Japan, the section is Snow Talk, i.e. What is happening on Japanese Resorts. It is not called Sand Guangzhou or Coal Mine Mountain Guangzhou. i.e. sliding down a pile of Coal Mine Dust in a barrel. I don't think you need lift tickets for the latter. So who are these lift ticked Dodgers you are talking about?
-
Thursday have you actually skied/boarded in Japan? By and large, lift ticked dodging is almost non existent that is why nobody is listening to you. Because almost everybody takes packages. For example one day round trip on a Shinkansen from Shinjuku to Gala would cost \13,000 plus around 5000 for the lift ticket. But if you book a package from the JR travel center you can get it for \12,000 with free lift ticket. What incentive do you have for ticket dodging? I have been on 4 ski trips this year. All packages and I have been quite happy about the price. On all the packages

Please don't limit my abilty to reply when I am addressed(i.e. the converstation stops after I email you) If you want to see his avatar turn up your brightnes and contrast. -

The problem isnt him, its the double standard. Even there is a filter to stop swear words. (even used just a few posts up) The middle finger means "F.uck You". Also the guys wingges if you post something he doesnt like. Another double standard. -

Ok well back on topic. I do think this forum. Two decisions I have made was that I am going to Kagura on the 22 until christmas, thanks snowjapan. There is fovortism to long standing members though, its natural, but I has put me off posting here and I am sure other new members. (e.g. carving thread) The second is that I ordered a helmet from rakuten. Probably the best advise somebody gave on this forum. I did exactly as the person said went to the shop got the product number and founf it 50% cheaper there. -

Really if you want me to: Case point one: On numerous threads db le p can criticizes Snow Japan, but when other users do it threads get closed. (Now that I look you did remove the comment saying it should be called show china, but it was up a hell of a long time. But my comment about him now was replied to by a mod quite quickly so I doubt it went unnoticed for over a week) db le p avatar is pretty offensive, essentially giving the finger to everybody.(people with bad contrast monitors only see his avatar as black) While a less offensive thread by me gets closed. db le p is -
