Thanks all and suggestion of rather@thesnow! Unfortunately, we are staying in Alpen Hotel. We may get the bus anyway. Cheers. -
What will be in early April
jimmclee replied to jimmclee's topic in Snow talk, trip reports, Japan avalanche & backcountry
Does God read this forum.. As worst as last year, I still went to Niseko in late April. It was still some snow falling at the top, of course, forget about the base. Due to my work schedules, can't walk away in March, only option in April but don't want to go to Niseko again. Any recommendation in other places? Otherwise, may go to Canada.. But I really hate longhaul flight.. -

If you haven't got the time or equipment, that "nasty" spray wax is surely better than nothing. I used it a couple of years back and the base & edges were fine in December. But you need to get that stuff off before doing a real wax again. G'luck snobee, Thanks.

Is there anyone living in Niseko can tell the status now? I am coming on Easter holiday next week. Thanks a lot.

Planning to go either Niseko or Rusutsu in March 07. But no idea where to go in early January hence I got the redeemed tickets to TYO on 5JAN. First of all, to replenish my snowboard supplies in Tokyo on first day and spend one week in ski resorts. Is there any resort like Niseko United

Thanks! Guys. I randomly picked Ishiuchi in last season. It was not bad. Since there are so many and many ski resorts in Japan. I'm not sure which is better for snowboarding. I just went to Queenstown last month. Remarkables and Coronet Peak are the classic examples. Remarkables is extremely not good for snowboarders. Some friends say Naeba, Rusutsu, Niesko, etc. Really no idea going to which. Personally, I like to spend few days for freeride and few days at terrain parks.
