Am booked to go to Tokyo in January - want a week or so skiing. Any suggestions for accomodation in Hakuba / Happo One - middle range / ski in ski out would be fantastic. Thanks Locko

I was planning on Hakuba for first week in April - but given that it seems to be raining big time there and the forecast is for warm temperatures I am thinking of switching to Niseko. Is anyone there at the moment? There seems to be plenty of snow.

I had been planning to go to Hokkaido but in a separate topic was advised agianst it. Anyone able to advise on the best of the Hakubas - ski in ski out essential as "those boot aint made for walking". Am still planning on first week in April.

I havent skied in Japan before. I was thinking of keeping north - Hokkaido - on the basis of being cooler and therefore better snow. Anyone recommend Rusutsu first week in April?
