  1. Yeah that is a good one! Never heard that. It looks like there'll be lots of not particularly well mashed potatoes out there today - rain this morning again. Thanks for the posts peeps.
  2. Kagura is just 30-40 minutes from where I live so it's really convenient and I know it well. The times I have been to Happo I really enjoyed it. It's just a bigger scale. I like both.
  3. I was woken up by winds and rain this morning. My friend is not happy with the weekend!
  4. How much was your shaken Bushpig? My friend just had his done. The "essentials" (ie the check, taxes, other costs) came to 115000 yen. Then he had to have something done to his brakes or something and oil changed... came to 15 man.
  5. I was at Iwappara today and looking over to Kandatsu this is what I saw: Take a look at the middle of the photo just below the center part. I'm sure that is a run there where these is a massive gap in the snow. Anyone been there lately?
  6. No wind! Anyway, they seem to do it every day, no matter what the weather.........
  7. I thought that at one point..... but how about today? It is +4C and there is 0% chance of snow tonight. They still take them off.
  8. The medals look like "chocolate money" I used to get when I was a kid. Take the gold tin foil wrapper off and it's choco!
  9. Posting comments on a website is a bit less involved than making a website! Maybe.
  10. Myself and a friend (who promises to stop lurking and reveal himself on here soon) went to Iwappara this afternoon and early evening. The snow was frankly dreadful. I need to know some more words to describe bad snow. (Just for the laughs you see...!) The best I can come up with was - it was really really heavy. And crusty. It really gave my legs a workout - almost hard to turn it was so hard. It was like treacle or something. Some words please.....
  11. Why do they often (always?) seem to take quad lifts off the cables every night? Anyone know?
  12. Well.. you actually seem to be getting more worked up about it than I am! I'm just saying what I think, that's all.
  13. I know what we usually get as I live right here in the middle of it. And we are not getting the usual right now. It has been spring for a few weeks. I don't think we will see more than 20cm in one go now again. I hope I am wrong.
  14. Hope you're right Thunderpants.......... I think it surely will snow, just not a massive dumping.
  15. Yes I'll keep away thanks. I saw some near Nikko that seemed very aggressive. Where was that naughty monkey that scared you gamera?
  16. I'm Sexy - yes at the bottom ropeway station. They came really close.
  17. The thing that makes this year different in my mind is just how many continuous days we have had either warm and sunny or mild and rainy. There has hardly been any snow for getting on 2 weeks (?) now. It just feels like spring all over. I reckon we'll see a few more snowfalls, but they won't be major.
  18. Surely no!? A friend sent this link to me, interesting to read. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/magazine/4731940.stm
