Kagura is just 30-40 minutes from where I live so it's really convenient and I know it well. The times I have been to Happo I really enjoyed it. It's just a bigger scale. I like both.

I was at Iwappara today and looking over to Kandatsu this is what I saw: Take a look at the middle of the photo just below the center part. I'm sure that is a run there where these is a massive gap in the snow. Anyone been there lately?

Myself and a friend (who promises to stop lurking and reveal himself on here soon) went to Iwappara this afternoon and early evening. The snow was frankly dreadful. I need to know some more words to describe bad snow. (Just for the laughs you see...!) The best I can come up with was - it was really really heavy. And crusty. It really gave my legs a workout - almost hard to turn it was so hard. It was like treacle or something. Some words please.....

Why do they often (always?) seem to take quad lifts off the cables every night? Anyone know?

The thing that makes this year different in my mind is just how many continuous days we have had either warm and sunny or mild and rainy. There has hardly been any snow for getting on 2 weeks (?) now. It just feels like spring all over. I reckon we'll see a few more snowfalls, but they won't be major.
