yes, first register. if you've registered in past years, it may work. i just make a new ID. Then you have to go and register for the drawing. a season's pass to 49 resorts in nagano. new this year is that if you have children, you can also register their names and ages (up to three children). but it prolly doesn't affect the outcome. if you win, you pay 30,000 yen and get the pass. ID check after the drawing was strict when i won. so if you're thinking of having a better chance at winning by registering all of your students' cousin's and landlord's name, and then sending in your pict -
slow, did u go? it was great. now i want to get First Ascent. Roam, a MTB film, had some sick filming. i'm not into MTBing, but the shots from the guys lines were nuts. Aweberg was ridiculous. good to see Patagonia sponsoring the event, too. They do a lot for the environment and promote healthy living

"Somewhere in Hokkaido" ? that was in last year's issuem p. 68 2006, Nov. 6 was the publication date and it should be around the same this year -

those are 06-07 bibs with Gore-Tex XCR (Extended Comfort Range). the 07-08 alpha sv bibs have Gore-Tex Pro, the newer and lighter version of XCR

sick, ft; u know how 2 get everyone's blood flowing with this kind of news. dan and i and the girls r making a tokyo weekender's trip to karasawa leaving tonight! stoked. risa's back is apparently good enough to hike. will hopefully bring back pics of hotaka with snow on top of it

the official date is usually in mid nov. national park so they will probably NOT let you on the alpine route w/ equipment. i plan on camping there for the long thanksgiving weekend. -

Narita Express, No. 44 Narita Airport 7:43 pm (should b enough time 2 get thru customs/immigration) departure, Tokyo Station 8:51 arrival Transfer at Tokyo Station Asama No. 555 Tokyo Station 9:28 pm departure, Nagano City 11:01 pm arrival OR Asama, No. 555 Tokyo Station 10:04 pm departure, Nagano City 11:48 pm arrival taxi from Nagano to Hakuba would be around 13,000 per cab, most cabs are strict max 3 or 4 passengers. Nagano City to Hakuba is less than one hour in good road conditions by car. Japanese trains are precise to the minute. Time tables in English:
