  1. I vacuumed up a cockroach about 5 days ago. It is the only way that I can deal with them. For some reason they disgust me much more when they are just dead and lying there, than when they are alive and quickly run out of sight when I stamp my foot on the ground. Vacuuming them up is a good compromise. I taped up the cleaner so it couldn't escape and today I thought for sure it would be long dead so took the tape off and the little bugger sprang at me. Next time I will spray and vacuum - why didn't I think of that before? Anyway, I sucked the horrible thing right back up into the va
  2. Thanks for the info. Captain Stag - Did you do the weekend course or the full time course at TC? Is it worth the $13000 that they charge? Did you find that your skiing/riding improved during the course? Basically do you recommend it for someone that wants to have some fun, improve their style, and be able to get a job out of it at the end? I am not fussed about the limited earning potential of instructing. I just want to find a way that I can keep travelling while doing something that I enjoy. I am from NZ. Does anyone know of any better courses out there? Cheers!
  3. Wicked place. Food is delicious! Everytime I go into an Indian restaurant here I feel like I am back in India - the smells are divine. You should see Jaisalmer and Varanasi in the north (and of course the Taj Mahal). Further south Hampi is really chilled. Good beaches are Gokharna and a place a bit further north of there. Can't remember the name of the nearest town but you had to walk twenty minutes to get to the beach, and there was a string of four beaches. One was called Om Beach and another Half Moon Bay. Be careful of the human shite on the beach though!!
  4. Using hazard lights seems to give free reign on the road here. Maybe people will start to use them when they answer their phones too.
  5. Hey! Does anyone here have experience with the Rookie Academy in Treble Cone or Keystone?? I will soon be too old (sniff) for the WHVs and can't imagine teaching English for more than another year, so figured teaching snowboarding would be a good way to keep up the travelling. I worked at Keystone a few years ago selling tickets and a lot of the instructors didn't have that many positive things to say about instructing. It can't be that bad, can it? At least you are outside and meeting people. On another note. I just booked flights to San Francisco for Christmas. Hoping to get
