I hear a lot about Hokkaido and it getting "the best snow". My questions are: a) is it really the best snow Japan has to offer? why is that - ie what conditions make that be the case? Cheers! I arrived in Japan early this year and only made it out twice, hoping for a bumper season coming.

About 12000 yen - 2 days!! -
this is my first year in Japan and I didn't manage to get out more than twice this winter coz of work. Next season I plan to head north into Nagano almost every weekend.
