  1. Steve Redgrave - heard of him? Done all right the boy has.
  2. OOOoooo! Handbags at twenty paces, I do so love a tussle. Let me throw in my eyelash curlers` worth. Consider this: dear old Snow Shadow wanted to know the cheapest way on a day trip from Tokyo. A few people suggested the shinkansen, someone pointed out that a very cheap way is the bus (overnight or not). Huurraah, Snowsie gets an answer and everybody is happy (or should be). I`m sure as an intelligent human being you S.S. can make your mind up which is best. I just think being able to have twice as many days on the slope for the same money is worth it. AND , wait for it, I actu
  3. By far and away the cheapest is a bus trip. Option 1- Get the right day (in the week) and for 3,400 you leave from Ikibukuro sun city bus depot in the morning and can be at a gunma resort (Minakami Okutone, Tanbara etc) for around 1030am, shred til five-ish then head back. Travel and lift pass included. Granted- not the most extensive places but fine for the odd daytrip. Option 2- Overnight bus, leave 1030ish pm from ikibukuro, be on the snow for 8am at a far better resort (pretty much any in Nagano, Niigata). Head for home around 4.30ish or later depending. Lift pass, travel an
  4. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, NO, you just don`t get it. The Queen is all the power behind the dummy `Parliment` and Blair is her Bi**ch to take all the flack....jeeeez how many times and how many people do I have to explain this to...... you should see what she can do with that sword......man, they used to call Thatcher the iron lady but she was about as potent as an empty board bag without Lizzy about. Man, my world is good.
  5. AAhhh Echineko, everybody seems to be ignoring your understandable plea to be educated in the ways of the mighty British Empire. So here goes. The Queen of the Empire (Elizibeth II) chooses men who have served and performed brilliantly in their field and to the glory of the Kingdom, then bestows upon them a `Knighthood`. Knights are the British version of a samuri I guess, and are vowed to protect the realm. Recieving a Knighthood requires a ceremony where you are expected to trust the Queen with your life as she waves a sword about around your neck. After
  6. Going wednesday (17th, manmade snow) and Ruyo next weekend, snow permitting.....
  7. I`ve been desperatly trying to find a hip flask over here. When I finally think I`ve found one, it turns out to be a bloody ashtray. A bloody ash tray, .....I mean.....
  8. As aussie lasses go she`s not as good as Kylie. Probly more intelligent though. Ahhhh...Kylie
  9. Superb! What a find. Probably gone over the heads of the rest of the world (my kiwi housemates had no clue, then again....) . Shame the Hammers have been raped by chelsea. Could it possibly be dangerous have headphones in on the slopes? Sometimes get a guilty feeling that I`m in my own world. Hhmmmm.
  10. O11 Read that too. Entertaining enough but not as much on old Wills as I thought there would be, more about some incompetant orchard growing failure who couldn`t keep his strumpet well strumped. Makes you wonder how the English managed to build an empire.
  11. So, who listens to music while they ride? What kinda tunes to block out the delayed euro rock/ j-pop mix? Something fast, energetic and a bit crazy keeps me tearin it up. Coopers, B.R.M.C, Coxen, Muse, Hives etc
  12. Hmm.... sounds painful, then I guess it`s not painful for me so no worries. Definitly something worth further investigation methinks. Thanks for the compliment. Happens to be my (as they say here) hometowns name too. I like the symmetry you got going. Kinda symmetrical-like.
  13. .db. care to share the secrets you have mastered? Is it anything like board wxing? Y`no, nose to tail, long strokes, firm pressure etc? Just wondering
  14. Might really be pushing the boat out here, but surely it`s just a hat?????
  15. Yeah.... and when I was outside tonight I could see my breath steaming. My mum always said you can tell when it`s cold because you can see your breath steaming. And that`s a fact. My Mum`s never wrong.
  16. A sure fire winner? MAKE something. A trinket, a card, anything that looks like it took a bit of time and effort. Doesn`t have to be big, just special. She will adore you and your talents. And you can prove you`re good with your hands. What could be better?
  17. Have one, looks good (in Kanji for my first name which is English- go figure) but hardly ever used. Aren`t they supposed to be registered? Mine isn`t.
  18. So... is it gonna snow then? Will it be soft snow? Good pow? Or wet and slushy? Surely you can tell us that? You seem to know everything.
  19. Errrrmm.... I`ll say that`s a basement definetly worth visiting. Obviously this has been visited before but it still holds a very definite fascination for me. I must be wierd
  20. All strange to me. AND (I`m have it in good faith) down below never gets to see any kind of shearing attention! What`s the point of fixing the roof but keeping a bear in the basement?
  21. ...face I mean, top lips, eyebrows and foreheads, and arms and everything. Maybe this has been touched upon before, but can`t be a good thing cos they`ll have full beards in no time?? Yay or nay? Girls?
