Some nasty images of melting snow and lots of grass at Happo this morning. Hokkaido seems to be getting more rain than snow too.

Unfortunately, I looked up the Hakuba forecast on that same site and there is no snow being forecast there right up to Nov 28.

Those bare patches are beginning to show at Happo. At Kiroro, the pond which was nearly filled up last week looks to be about 3 feet deep today. We need more freshies. December is approaching.

Well, the snow levels are obviously down significantly at Kiroro and also at Happo and Goryu this morning. Looks like we need some more North wind and colder temps.

I have a few pairs of fleece socks. They are more or less as warm as woollen socks but fleece doesn't give me the itch as wool does.

BCS, you buying new boots? You can rent out the old ones to my friends, maybe. That can help you finance your new purchase.

Well, judging from what people are wearing in the above pic, it can't be that warm. I remember skiing in Happo this Easter without gloves and with only my T-shirt and the temperature was in the teens then.

OK, I have just checked out the latest Happo and Goryu webcam shots and there are definitely ski tracks on both. So who have been out there already? Come on, own up.
