Every year I get a new bunch of stuff from BURTON. Seems to last well (25 days a season) and could probably last maybe 2-3 seasons depending on abuse. I only change coz its free and give the old stuff to my mates.. My Flow bindings have lasted 3 season and are still going hard... which is suprising for such low level bindings. cant wait for my FISH!!!!!

Have been to Niseko 2wice.Å The first time we bought a passport and never went off Hirafu! So our 2nd time we decided to go with the Hirafu pass instead. both stays were for 5 days and i was pretty happy with the course on hirafu side but am I missing out on something? so all u experts time to express what you would do... PASSPORT or HIRAFU pass????? ta

Can do Nagoya Interchange - Hakuba exit (forgot exit name!!) usually a quick piss stop and hot coffee. 2hrs, if not too busy a little bit quicker. from then its up to the traffic and of course depending on which mountain you go to. Arai in niigata pref is actually further but quicker to get to as its all highway and about 10 mins from there.. more exy though.. all depends on what time you leave in the am and pm to how long it takes! wanna race?!

When looking at the wether forecast page i cannot see the pics (rain, snow sun etc).. just a red cross where the pic should be. anyone else experiencing this?? ta

Gifu area- shirotori,(winghills, dynaland, takasu, washigatake etc) by car 2hrs on weekend and coming home 3-4hrs if U are lucky (usually jammes 5-6hrs!!) Thats why i refuse to go there on weekends. Bus trips are easy way of getting there if U have no car. Hakuba takes around 2hrs fanging it, but 3 if slow by car. better mountains in my opinion. busses leave late night to hakuba and are pretty reasonable.

SURF SURF AND SURF. By the time march comes I am hanging for surf but thing is in Japan the Snow season brings much more satisfaction than the Japanese surf season,due to waves (or lack of) I also do Nihon kempo too to let out all that built up agression from lack of SURF!

you would need to seal it with a fili coat (not sure on spelling) can use anything. I do designs on my surfboards and use this with no probs.. its like a clear auto laquer.. (dont do it on the bottom)

Takasu is lame. Winghills and Dynaland seem better for boarders with semi decent runs and parks. stick to the weekdays thuogh, weekends are 6 hrs trips back home 2 nagoya which should take 2!

I am also here to live, Have J wife & bub (on the way) run 2 business etc etc. been here for 5 years now too! ( only came for 1 as so many do.....) The whinging I was talking about was actually pointed at off the forum. in everday life. Yes I did mention the ROPES issue, but anyway... Lately a lot of gaijin that I have met have been pretty negative and it kind of brings me down to be around that when i am trying to enjoy my life here as much as possible.... of course i have a lot of bitches and moans, wouldn't be human without them but i try not express them so much. Do so many gaijin here make their number one hobby WHINGING? This is japan, they do shit differently here than we do at home. So many people I have know have spent their whole time here fighting for a lost cause wether it be at work or on the slopes etc etc ... If people hate it so much here, why don't they just go home and leave the rest of us who enjoy our lives here in peace ( with less on the runs too!)

maybe we should remember that we are living in japan and just learn to live with it as someone has already said. Thats why I always hang out with J guys coz the Gaijin are always complaining... anyone would think that we all came from the UK or something!
