  1. You're good in Hokkaido, but Nagano would make a good change and there's a load of choice. [This message has been edited by oo (edited 05 March 2002).]
  2. It was fairly decent up at the top of Nozawa last weekend. Not perfect, but not too bad all the same.
  3. I just put on some skis for the first time in ages last weekend and really enjoyed it. (Usually a boarder). Will be out skiing more from now I think.
  4. I think a lot of the bigger ones have previously been owned by a number of people, coming together.
  5. Good point, I couldn't work that one out either. Anyone know how that works?
  6. I know what you're getting at, but it would also mean more crowded slopes at the remaining resorts don't you think?
  7. How childish [This message has been edited by oo (edited 20 February 2002).]
  8. If you don't count accommodation in that, I'm probably one about 150,000 this season so far.
  9. I heard that the place called Weiss (or something similar) near niseko does this, dont quite me on it.
  10. BIG change. I have the 1.5 service (no 8 service here yet), but a huge change. Soooo fast (compared to the modem I had) and probably most of all, I can use the web without worrying about the phone bill anymore (a big pressure when using before).
  11. Here ends the advertisements from the crews up in Hokkaido. You crack me up guys......
  12. Is that all sore-wa? Wow, I must have seen it more than that already. Seen the interviews about 10 times too.
  13. Apart from the coverage (Gambare Nippon!), anything interesting going on?
  14. Noooooo! We seem to be into snow zone again, but not exactly dumping down.....January was a pretty dry month taken as a whole. Lets hope Feb is a dumping one.
  15. I think that the trip up to hokkaido is worth if for a weeks trip going round all the resorts. I like Niseko, as everyone seems to, and the snow is good but agree with badmigraine - it's hardly "big" is it? Plenty to feed on in Honshu - you don't need to go up to Hokkaido to get some amazing pow
  16. Ocean, when you say small scale, how long are the lifts and runs up there?
  17. ...apart from the backcountry issue! For me it has to be one of these; --The way they close down some lifts if the resort isnt busy on a particular day (and I don't just mean because of strong winds etc) --The 1000 yen parking that some still insist on
