  1. after the URL of the photo. The URL of the photo will look something like this: http://www.snowjapan.com/myphoto.jpg
  2. ger, I agree. Having regulars on here in all different regions of Japan is a great thing. But this is totally up to them. If people come on here and almost right from the start cause problems, start and relentlessly continue flaming wars - and then start taking multiple swots at us at the same time - then what can they realistically and reasonably expect? Anyone is welcome on here if they just agree to and act within the guidelines we have.
  3. Quote: Let's just leave it at that rather than continue to let this forum degenerate into a flaming shit-fest. We will not let that happen, Bushpig. No more flames in this (or related) thread(s).
  4. Gala Yuzawa usually closes in early May, but they may well be working with less staff for the last month or so. You'd better ask them directly.
  5. Back to paying full price after that 1 month.... please remember.
  6. Hmm, ok. How about 1 month using SnowJapan FOR FREE and call it even - deal?
  7. OK. Sorry about that - that particular data is unfortunately beyond our control (see the info about daily reports linked to on that page) and there is sometimes a bit of a short time lag in info being updated - we ultimately rely on resorts - and also the web monkeys who do those updates may have been taking an early onsen. http://www.snowjapan.com/e/daily/webcam/nagano/snow-monkeys.html
  8. Yes. Read and bookmark http://www.snowjapan.com/e/daily/yuzawa-now.php http://www.snowjapan.com/e/daily/naeba-now.php
  9. I think that photo in the first post on this thread was taken by SJ1 near his house in Shiozawa. All of the other photos in the gallery were taken in various places in Niigata (mostly Yuzawa and Shiozawa) and Nagano (Nozawa) and a few others I think that I can't quite remember right now. http://www.snowjapan.com/e/gallery/index-snowy-japan.html
  10. The image on http://www.snowjapan.com/e/daily/webcam/nagano/snow-monkeys.html is now refreshed every 30 seconds, so you'll always be looking at the latest pic. Thanks to Domokun and also with permission of the Jigokudani Monkey friends.
  11. Not kidding. Totally not in that kind of mood. Before you consider responding again, re-read above post.
  12. OK we have had enough of this and so have other people. The "taking shots", in this thread and the others, stops right now. Any taking of further shots (whether it be towards other members or us), talkback, "witty" comments or sarcasm on this issue and people risk posting rights being taken away. Don't push us into doing that, please.
  13. If you look on the right hand side of the forums you'll see a few changes - one being "My Calendar". If you click on the main Calendar button (under the top black bar on the forums) you will see an "Add New Event" link. http://www.snowjapanforums.com/ubbthreads.php/ubb/calendar http://www.snowjapanforums.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=addevent You can add events to your calendar and they will show when you are logged in to the forums. No-one else will see you private calendar entries on the calendar or on their pages.... only you. Anyway go check it out and have a play.

  15. Update: Things should now be back to normal on the main site and these forums. However, the SnowJapan.tv site will be offline for a bit - possibly until tomorrow - as we do a few things on that network. Thank you and sorry for the disruption.
  16. Didn't notice that. Thanks for pointing it out Tubby Beaver. Sarge1 - we can do without that kind of comment on here, thanks.
  17. That is right. But you can snowboard at any of the other resorts in the Yuzawa area - all of which (apart from Naeba) are within 15 minutes of NASPA, which in itself is just 3 minutes from the main station via the free shuttle bus that the resort puts on. Also, it is worth pointing out that you do not need to either ski or snowboard in the hotel, when you have your dinner & breakfast, are using the pool, saunas or onsen, when you are in your guest room or using any of the other facilities at the resort.
  18. Quote: Does anyone know if the "RECENT DATA" snowfall section in the resorts info section is just last years snowfall? It is the data from the previous year. We will update that information next month with last seasons data.
