  1. OK, we have 200 SnowJapan stickers here and would like to offer them to Forums members. Here's how to go about get them: 1 Either send me a PM or if you do not have access to PMs please email us at editor@snowjapan.com with the subject line "SJ Stickers Please". (If you are emailing us, tell us your SJ Forums member name). We will reply to you with our postal address. 2 Get an envelope (preferably Number 3 size - the width of just more than a piece of A4 folded into three); 3 Write your address (or an address within Japan) on it; 4 Put a 90 yen stamp on it;
  2. That's right. And it also means in the above case limited to 3 people. So it can be just one person, 2 or 3 people who are together. If 3 friends take one of these lessons, then it works out as just under 7000 yen per friend.
  3. Here you go, it has been updated: http://www.snowjapan.com/e/daily/yuzawa-now.php Have a good weekend
  4. Well it was snowing this morning as it says in the report. But as SJ1 said, it has been weaker since then and as we said in the report we will be posting another this evening which will almost certainly point that out.
  5. Quote: do you know how to snowboard? Yes I do thank you. Quote: do you want some snowboarding hats? No, I don't, thank you. >>>>>>>>> This folks is a fine example of a) why we need to approve new members before they post (although even then it didn't help much here did it?) why we don't allow PMs from the off; c) some of the junk that we have to deal with on an almost daily basis; d) a taste of what the Forums might be like if we let anyone post anything. Roger_R here signed up and was approved a short while ago and then posted
  6. Yes I missed that too. Sorry to hear about the accident and very glad that you are ok.
  7. Thank you. Poll time. Do you like the photos being shown on the right hand side? The plan is: 1 photo shown when the Chat Box is open 3 photos shown when the Chat Box is closed .
  8. CB if you mean the one on this site, yes it is quite old - 7 years old in fact. Is it really that "bollox", even considering it from our archives of articles? Personally I think it is very interesting to read back from 7 years ago and see how things have changed and think it is definitely worth keeping them up there.
  9. Quote: I think the nozawa-ski-school.html page should be changed to say they will only guarantee an English lesson if a private lesson is booked. If you find what you think are mistakes in any information on our site, please send us your comments suggestions directly. This is a public forum and posting here does not guarantee that we (the people who run the forums/site) see your message. Contacting us directly does. If we don't see your message, we won't be on the case. Thank you.
  10. Definitely. I always make sure I am out on the hills at "official lunchtime". But seriously, it was empty - sure didn't feel like mid-season when I just had a wander about... sadly, more like ghost town!
  11. I just thought this might be of interest. This is Nunoba in central Yuzawa, 20 minutes ago - both of those lifts were moving. (I think it must be lunchtime with all those skis stacked up there!) A quick drive around and it was similar at a few other places as well...
  12. Quote: I think SJ#1 (correct me if I'm wrong) did point out that those hired to do marketing for resorts often have no qualifications or experience. Yes he said that Go Native, and it is true though I am not personally involved in that kind of thing. He should know, I'd guess that he probably knows more (managers at) Japanese ski resorts than any other gaijin and he has a very positive relationships with quite a lot of Japanese ski resorts and actively gets involved in resort associations etc. The fact that he started this site and continues to develop it so actively every year and try
  13. Will be looking forward to it Mamabear! Hope you enjoy the rest of your trip.
  14. Thats right! Thanks for posting If you associate "tags" with the video (like where it is etc) it will be linked up well within the tv site. (For example some vids have tags like "hokkaido niseko snowboard powder" etc. Let us know if you want help with doing that.
  15. Yes you can! The code is shown on each video page on the right hand side ("SnowJapanForums Tag") in the right hand Video Information column
  16. Great pics as always (Bushpig, if you do try and post a vid and come across any issues, please contact us and we'll help! Thanks)
  17. thursday, personally I don't know but if you say "takyubin" to any staff at the airport they will point you in the right direction within seconds.
  18. Great. How was the snow holding out up there tsondaboy? Looks decent.
  19. They are everywhere. (Well, not quite EVERYWHERE. But nearly). At Shin-Chitose, there is parcel delivery services by Yamato Transport, Nippon Express, Sagawa Express, Sagawa Global Logistics and the Japanese Postal Service (Yu-Pack).
  20. They'll be happy to take it all off you! I use it every time I come back to Japan from overseas. You should be able to find it easily but if you need to ask the word is "takyubin". Will you be taking more vid? Really like your first one up there
