  3. Hi there I have looked into this and changed a few settings for your account - you should now be able to post so please do check and try to get it up there. Thanks.
  4. Perhaps I confused things in an earlier post with a typo. I believe they intend on opening that part up again for the 10/11 season. I'm sure they are looking forward to it. About the wind issue. They didn't seem to have big problems until that storm a few years back. It created a lot of publicity and it seems that since then they have been extra cautious in order to avoid the same. Just my guessing.
  5. We are only talking to Shiga Kogen about this a short while ago. The best they have online for now is http://www.shigakogen.gr.jp/english/snow/ski.html
  6. We do plan to add more maps in the future. Realistically, it will be next year before you see them, but it is in the plans. Our new maps are very easily changed/adapted as well and so we can quite easily make changes to them. Thanks for the comments both on here and in messages sent, much appreciated.
  7. Not sure, but know where they posted from. There are obviously a few issues that we have with this particular feature and we will be thinking it all through carefully. With something like this there was always going to be this kind of thing happen to some degree. But hopefully in the long term it will be masked out by all of the real and useful data that people with good intentions vote for. We don't have our full editing functionality backend up and running as yet but will soon be able to pluck those obviously 'joke' votes out. It's slightly annoying of course but we're all tired h
  8. We are experiencing a few small issues with the weather voting thing. It will get sorted soon, but that won't be today. (I'm actually surprised at how smoothly it all went considering...)
  9. As you may have noticed, a lot of new content has gone online today. We hope that people like it or at least bits of it. One of the main things we have developed is a new 'Real-time resort weather voting system'. We called it 'Current Weather Conditions - Live Feedback' on the resort pages, but would like to perhaps give it a better, shorter and easier-to-remember name. We thought we would have a bit of a fun competition on the Forums to see if anyone had any good ideas that we could use. Please post them here or if you want send them in via PM or email (the usual editor@

  16. SNOWJAPANMAPS www.snowjapanmaps.com For the 09/10 season we have created a major new feature on the site that lets people 'vote' for the current weather at resorts. We've given it the snappy name of Current Weather Conditions - Live Feedback, though we are open to some good ideas and actually running a little competition on the site to see if anyone can come up with anything better. Details of that can be found here. For full information on this feature, please read this: http://www.snowjapan.com/e/daily/weather-voting-help.html Here is the content of the Help pages: Yo

PHOTOS SECTION - REDEVELOPED (automatic file resizing/optimizing; files up to 8MB OK) In the first of our site updates/changes in time for the 09/10 season, we have completely redeveloped the Photos section of the site and it is now online and ready to use. Basically, here is what's new: You can now upload your original photo 'as is', each up to 8MB in size - there is now no need to change the size and dimensions of photos before uploading them; The photos will automatically be resized and optimized; We have created a new simpler 'Single Photo' uploading page which allows
  18. Well, we had the basic story of the tunnel. Scott posted a thread on the Forums and we thought it would make for a great Feature on the site and so asked him if he was interested in expanding what he originally wrote and do a Feature. We have spent a fair while going back and forth with Scott filling in details and getting this done. As it's on the Features section it will get a lot more people seeing it than a thread on the Forums. I think it makes for a really interesting read and there's a whole lot of new stuff in there even if you read the original thread.

  20. Actually it wasn't meant in that way, sorry. Just that an improved map will be online that will show locations clearer than has been.
