  1. Yeah my bad. Will be getting mitts but was calling them gloves
  2. Yeah will be doing that 2 x gloves 2 x googles Want really warm gloves tho for those cold /windy days, great snow but freezing on the exposed lifts. And extra googles so clear pair to use after fogging 1st pair from overheating/ stacks
  3. Ippy suggested the eg2.5 's in another thread a whiles back but I think they may be too big with helmet.
  4. Hoping to get down to Perisher/Thredbo this year which will be the first time in years and will probably stay (tenting) at caravan park too.
  5. Only problem with me is left ankle is good but right ankle not so good due to skate boarding smash. Just need to get thru the numb/ no feeling stage with it. Been wearing the ions around house for short periods and feel comfy so far, just need to give them a real trial now. Some other things on the immediate list are really warm gloves, a new helmet (more comfortable than the one I've got now and good ventilation) and googles. Any ideas/ thoughts appreciated.
  6. Thats the one WV. Has the Western mayo got msg in it too? Not at Coles or Woolies up the Central Coast according to my wife but will get her to look down Sydney as she goes there for work. Not sure what ytt is Gozaimas?
  7. Does anyone boot pack or similar there now , not allowed or shhh.
  8. Charmant Hiuchi & How was the surf? Like to see piccies of that too please but probably need to be in another thread
  9. Invested in a pair of ions, bought online via Scotland. The finance minister complain about the cost but was reminded about her upgrades last season. Still got to update a lot more stuff tho and replacing old gear one piece at a time so as not to be noticed (yeah - good one) and not hurt the bank balance as much. The plan is to buy good quality gear so it lasts but I always cringe/question at the cost of (new and supposed good quality) snow gear and wonder about how much is hype. Also picking up a 2nd hand NS summit ~165 (very reasonable - ebay) soon, suppose to be a more powder board from b
  10. Chriselle,What's happening to the frogs?
  11. Didn;t know that. Damm. That msg stuff is not good. Reading the label was my down fall Am guessing the mayo's got lots of salt and sugar in it now, as per most processed foods.
  12. imho. The Japenese mayo is much better than the oz stuff. Really yummy on poach eggs for breakfast before a days boarding, up there with a good benedict sauce. Still looking for a place to buy it over here to help the stimulus measures.
  13. Oh! Saw something on TV re: emus. The reporter was lying down on the ground, very still and reckoned the emus would come up very close because they are so curious.I can't confirm, never tried and he didn't seem to have much luck.
  14. I use to hang out down that way (use to hang out at Kilcunda a lot) years ago and it definitly is a nature lovers paradise. Highly recommend going there if you get to oz and you like that sort of stuff. As GN says be careful with weather, it is in Victoria and the weather can make or break your trip. Apart from the walks and emus, I have fond memories of other wildlife such as parrots that can be hand fed, wombats that walk through tents at night, wallabies and echidnas (you wont see these often in the wild - very shy). Echidnas are my favorite
  15. Always enjoy hearing and viewing your adventures Mike. Looking forward to more. Have you fallen there (plenty of obstacles - rocks, uneven surface, grass tuffs and not a whole heap of snow). Looks like you could slide a ways if that happened?
  16. Great day for a ride & definitely the green season there now. Great pic's Thanks for the update
  17. Any thoughts on binding that would be suitable for the Ions? Thanks in advance
