Had a test drive in the Toyota 86 today. As you might expect, very similar to the BRZ. I think I prefered the Subaru though. I like this weekend doing test drives thing. Might check out some BMWs next.

I love driving. I would never choose automatic. It seems to take out the pleasure of driving, as gg said, and just bring it down to the function of getting from a to b. Do automatic lovers want things to 'advance' to the point where you key in point A and point B and the vehicle takes you there while you sit in the back?

I haven't had a bad hangover for a long time. I think the memory of the last one, which seemed to knock me out for a few days, was too much. I get a slight hangover after less and less.

I was in Nagaoka yesterday and I made a point of checking, stocks of toilet paper seemed generally fine. Can't confirm price points.

ATM machine. People who seem to set up office there and take forever doing endless things on the machine. I gave up and went to 7-11. Perhaps I should do that more!

Back seats are funny. They are suitable for child seats, shopping bags... and people who have no legs.

Test drive in the Subaru BRZ. Turn up, had a chat with the guy - my idea to put him at ease (maybe) with my less than perfect Japanese - then went for a ride... him in the passenger seat and telling me where to go. Very nice indeed to drive and an extremely good looking car. Hoshii!
