Hi there I'm new to Japan so not sure on lots of things yet. On maps, Minakami and Yuzawa look really close - next to each other with a mountain range between them. That right? Which has the more choice of places? Anyway lots of reading to do in the coming months!

My first season I plan to go on quite a few small trips - to find out some good places hopefully. Right now, my Japan experience is --- Zero! -
I have just been once, about 14 years ago. So my first winter in Japan will be an exciting one trying to find out as many places as I can... on my limited budget!

New to Japan so winter will be my first. Can't wait. Overload right now as I start to learn more about it all. So glad to have this site too, very fab work.
