I did a week long ski jump course as a kid in France with the ESF. It was alot of fun and certainly gave me a lot of confidence in other areas of skiing - straightlining steep slopes and hitting jumps. Wish I'd continued in it. I could've been the next Eddie the Eagle!

It was! Decent, if slightly heavy powder. A few roped off sections which had 20cm or so of fresh snow. We had a big Hokkaido Cartel crew up there today, it was a good laugh. Coming up tomorrow?

Welcome to Japan, and to banging your head against the wall when seemingly simple things become frustratingly difficult. I remember reading that scuba shops won't fill up tanks themselves and will send them away to have it done elsewhere. And you need some kind of licence to get this done anyway, so they won't do it for airbag canisters. I can't remember exactly where I read it, but that was the jist. BCA are the only brand that have a presence here, but they'll only refill Japanese bought canisters! This may have changed, or be duff info. I reckon you're best asking folk in guiding co

Here's a bit of stoke. Ankle deep fresh snow today up at Nakayama Touge. I wasn't too stoked about the lift line though. Quite a wait for such a short run. But a good morning to kick off the season.
