Usually Zao can open for Golden Week. This year there is less snow than usual and they officially hope to be able to keep some part open until then. Sadly, personally I think that will be difficult!

It is good that people can learn more about different place. I think from now more place become known which is good thing.

Gassan is also usually open until late July, though calling it a resort is pushing the meaning I think! I doubt this year it will be open that long due to less snow. I have never been the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine route but I hope to one day.

We had more snow again but I think generally it is feeling very much like spring now here. Even I enjoy spring ski, it is also a time of mixed feeling.

I like Shizukuishi, it's a good place. Also Tazawako. Great snow when I went. Good food there too.

From the toll road, continue straight on road 53 which changes into road 167 for about 2 or 3km. There is a steep right turn in the road and you can see a sign on the left hand side just after. If you follow the sign for about 500m on narrow road and you will find it! If you ask Zao people I am sure someone will know.

My friend who lives near to Rusutsu (Tanaka-san) will be going to Niseko tomorrow morning early to try and help. It is worry story. Good luck.

Nice photograph. My friend was working there last year and I went for 3 days. I preferred the Hakkaisan and Maiko (?) gelende nearby for skiing.

Was the yakiniku 楓庵 (Kaedean)? Photo looks like and description also. I live it very much, it is quite famous!

Unfortunately last week the warm weather affected us also. The monsters became trees. I felt sorry for the people coming to see them But since then winter returned and we got new fresh snow
