We stayed in Downtown Lodge this year, is a fantastic place to stay. Although I do remember the people running it saying they were closing it early and merging the guests with Base Lodge. Might be best to call them to confirm.

Zhivagos is expensive from memory. I liked JoJo's and SplashBar although not your authentic Japanese.

I wore thermals under my jeans when I went out in Niseko last year, but I just used the same pair I boarded in. I would suggest having at least one pair whether it be for boarding or using at night or both.

It's probably due to just lack of movement with the toes. Wouldn't think it is too serious. I just know I'll be a lot more careful with the next set of boots I buy.

Mine usually take 4 months or so to grow back. Leaves me just enough time between Sth. Hemisphere and Nth. Hemisphere winters. Still would love not to have the issue all together.

My partner and I are also going to Niseko then Ssar. We leave Melb on the 19th of Feb, arrive Niseko on the 20th leave on the 1st. Might run into each other.

When I cut my toe nail off I took the boots back to the shop to see what they could do. They ended up putting heel inserts in them to shift my foot back a few mm. It did the trick as I never get bruised toes anymore only lose feeling in them after a few hours.

Snowboarder, but would love to try skiing.

I had the same thing happen to me Snowhuntress but I ended up cutting my own big toenail off, not completely but a good 80% of it had to be cut. Took months for it to grow back.
