The latest Naeba Now report can be found here . Good morning from Naeba. It might be Tuesday, but it's a national holiday and so we can probably expect a busy Naeba today. Some good deep conditions to enjoy too. I am seeing one source at the resort saying 40-50cm of fresh snowfall; I can report a good 35cm. After snow overnight, it is snowing early on but likely to ease off either later this morning or early afternoon. Top lifts do appear to be delayed due to wind. Tomorrow sunshine is forecast for the region so it should be a great morning to check out the first runs of the day. A few days of milder conditions are still on the cards too - but it looks like more cold is coming early next week. ----------------------------------- Official snow depth: - 120cm Planned operating lifts: - Prince Number 2 Gondola - Takenokodaira romance pair lift - Takenokoyama romance pair lift - Number 4 romance pair lift - Number 3 high speed lift - Number 4 high speed lift - Number 5 high speed lift (open for nighta until 8:30pm) - Hiuchi Number 1 romance pair lift - Dragondola Courses planned to be open: - 21 of 22 courses are normally open - Splash Bowl currently not open - The Dragondola is operating to get over to the Tashiro Area of the Kagura resort Naeba Now 2019-2020 season Data as of Tuesday 11th February 2020 Total snowfall at base so far 311cm Number of days snowfall observed 35 days Most snowfall observed on 1 day 36cm (reported on 11th February) November 2019 snowfall 19cm observed on 5 days December 2019 snowfall 58cm observed on 9 days January 2020 snowfall 118cm observed on 12 days February 2020 snowfall 116cm observed on 9 days Previous report Next report All snowfall data presented on this page is the snowfall measured and observed at base/town level by our reporter based in Naeba. Independent snow and weather reporting from the Naeba region of Niigata New snowfall at base 4cm Snowfall at base this season 275cm Posted on Monday 10th February 2020 This is an archived report. The latest Naeba Now report can be found here . Good morning from Naeba. Some lift disruption on a busy Sunday yesterday, but things are calmer this morning. The sun is out and we have blue skies and some cloud, and it is a cold early morning... with some more snow likely later on today and tonight. It appears that the top lifts might be on hold early on due to windy conditions up there. Best to check if you are here for the latest. Interestingly it looks like that despite our snowfall over the last run of days, some snow making machines will be doing their thing today on courses for the event this month. (Perhaps with a view to building up the snow as much as possible before the upcoming warmer conditions due later in the week? <<< Total guess).
