Good afternoon from Naeba on a fine and sunny autumn afternoon.
Today is actually the last day of the 'autumn' operations here (including the Dragondola/Tashiro Ropeway).
From tomorrow, all thoughts will be turning towards the upcoming winter season. The ski lifts at Naeba are due to start moving on Saturday 14th December.
Before that, Kagura Ski Area (via Mitsumata Ropeway) hopes to be able to open on Saturday 23rd November, which is now less than three weeks away! It's all going to come quick now...
Long range forecasts seem quite positive for a good/snowy winter, so let's hope that turns out to be correct.
More reports will be posted in the run up to the season.
