It doesn't look like there's much of that in the coming week, more a case of clouds with some light snow here and there. The latest Myoko Now report can be found here . A little more cheerful look on the hill today: we still have some fog that mostly comes but lifts from time to time, but there's about 10cm of fresh snow on the ground. Things are just nice and white again, it's not raining, and there were a lot more people just wandering around like normal in the morning at a ski resort. It's also pretty bright, even with the fog, which means that it's likely that it's clear around the top of the lifts. I'm happy for those who decided to spend the three-day weekend here in Myoko! It is clearly colder again this morning and it was great to see some snow coming down at a good rate last night. Not bad at all! As I look outside my window now light snow is falling. Visibility seems to be pretty decent and all lifts are opening as planned. We might even get some sunshine during the day, but hopefully it won't warm up much. The weekend looks set up to be a mix of cloudy skies and light snow at times and it should remain fairly cold. It should be a decent mid March weekend, I think. ----- Niseko Avalanche Report Moiwa base: -4℃, calm, 5cm snowfall in 12h. Moiwa 800m: -6.1℃, NNW4.5m/s. - Nozawa Now: Friday 18th March 2022
Independent snow and weather reporting from the Nozawa Onsen region of Nagano New snowfall at base 1cm Snowfall at base this season 1130cm Posted on Friday 18th March 2022 This is an archived report. The latest Nozawa Now report can be found here . Light snow this morning on the mountain with the ski area reporting up to 5cm on upper areas. Just a little down below and as I write this some limited visibility that might end up being an early morning thing. The forecast for the day is cloud with rain tonight (hopefully that will be snow above a certain level) and then snow tomorrow too. It will be colder that it has been over the next few days but not drastically so. Let's hope we are on the good side of the rain-sleet-snow borderline. As always, Naski looks happy.
