Yesterday we had a mixed bag of weather - ranging from fine conditions in the early afternoon to snow storm by night.

I was over at Kumanoyu last night for some nighta and with the calmer conditions and passing of the storm it was a really nice evening.

Lots more snow during the day yesterday along with wind and some pretty hairy conditions at times.

Good morning from Shiga Kogen, enjoying a real blast of winter at the moment.

The sometimes very strong winds from yesterday have calmed down somewhat this morning.

It has started snowing now and strong gusty winds are blowing... we're at the start of a storm.

Just a light dusting of snow early this morning but the clouds have been clearing up and currently the sun is shining down on us.

After that good start to the day yesterday, we were into snowfall and windy weather conditions again by the afternoon.

It's a cold morning. From here in Maruike I can see right over to the top of Higashidateyama, so visibility is good.
