I have more snow to report from Nozawa this morning.

Hello from Nozawa and it's one of those exciting mornings when I get to report silly amounts of new snowfall.

After some clearer skies yesterday, it's a snowy Chrismtas morning here in Nozawa, which always seems just so fitting.

A lot of snow up on the top areas of Nozawa - 35-37cm being reported by the resort on the top Uenotaira and Yamabiko areas respectively.

After the limited lift operations and courses open yesterday, we seem to be back to where we were with the top runs once again open today and the Gondola scheduled to start it's day of work at 8:40am.

Lower areas only open this morning due to windy conditions on the mountain.

Back to normal with the lifts and courses this morning and 10cm or so of fresh snow to report.

Did you see Nozawa on the news yesterday? Nozawa as well as relatively close-by Myoko and Tsunan in Niigata Prefecture all made the national news with the silly amounts of snow that has been falling in the region.

Some great big whopping ridiculously large numbers to report this morning.

More of Nozawa is open from this morning including the self-named 'Best beginners course in the world!' that is Uenotaira.

The resort reporting 10cm of snow since yesterday and there's a nice fresh snow look to the trees this morning, helped along by the sun shining down on them.

Nozawa is open! Hurray! 2014-2015 Season In! Etc!

Nozawa has been on the receiving end of a good dump of fresh snow since yesterday and the resort is reporting an impressive 70cm of snow up on Yamabiko.

We're back to sunny weather this morning in Nozawa.
