It's great to see some fresh snow on the ground this morning.

Good morning from Nozawa. Now that's more like what we expect!

Fresh snow on the ground this morning and interestingly the resort is reporting a uniform 10cm across all areas of the mountain.

Some people reading this might have a cloudy head this morning after the festival fun last night, but those getting up early and heading up the mountain should be rewarded.

A wet sleet falling when I got up but it has turned into snow and I can just about justify adding 1cm to the report.

Some fresh snow to report. The resort itself is reporting 10cm on the upper slopes, 3cm down at Nagasaka and I can add the same to my observed base report.

The New Year holidays are over now and it's back to work for many. That means that the mountain will be noticeably quieter today for the lucky people around now.

I am very happy to report another good snowfall across the mountain, most of which we got overnight.

More snow to report this morning. Not huge numbers, but the resort is reporting 20cm of fresh on the upper slopes of the mountain which is decent.
