Good morning from Nozawa.
Some fresh snow to report. The resort itself is reporting 10cm on the upper slopes, 3cm down at Nagasaka and I can add the same to my observed base report.
It looks like the Skyline course and associated other courses coming off the lower part of Skyline are closed this morning. I can't find an official reason for that, so we can only guess. Still, a large part of the resort remains open so there's certainly enough terrain out there to enjoy. Head up high for the most fresh.
Lifts will be opening 30 minutes early over the upcoming long weekend - on Saturday, Sunday and Monday (the last of which is a national holiday in Japan).
What about more fresh snowfall? Well, the forecast appears to show the chance of some regularly over the coming week, though we'll just have to see how it turns out.
I'd expect some sunshine tomorrow morning.
