A lovely morning with a sea of clouds in the valley below us, some blue skies above us,....and 20+cm of fresh snow on the ground.

Yesterday I said we were hoping for snow overnight, and we have had some.

There is some fresh snow to report this morning from Madarao. Just 4cm outside my place and Madarao Kogen is this morning stating 5-10cm of fresh on the slopes. Better than 0cm!

It has turned into a beautiful morning.

Light snow falling early this morning here in Madarao though it is expected to be clearer during the day today.

32cm is what my now-not-long-enough ruler is telling me this morning.

Just a bit of snowfall since my report yesterday as it eased off and no snowfall overnight. And this morning we have blue skies above Madarao with just a bit of cloud hanging on here and there.

It actually feels like winter this morning. And we haven't been able to say that much so far this December.

Madarao have suddenly decided to open this morning. The 15-20cm of snow on the slopes since last night no doubt helped, and it was actually more than they were expecting.

Not nice weather yesterday (wet) but some snow overnight and the forecast is still giving us snow from Friday.

Madarao Open! And it's a lovely morning for it.

Madarao Kogen will be opening from tomorrow (Sunday).

5-10cm of snow overnight and Madarao have announced that there just isn't enough for a safe opening today.
