All of a sudden, we have been blessed with a considerable amount of snow.

It's snowing this morning and there's a good 5-10cm of snow accumulated across base areas

We are now one week away from the planned opening dates of 4 major ski areas around Hakuba.

Woo-hooo! It's only a little bit, but it's hard not to get excited about having snow on the car roof this morning down here near base.

Today (Monday 6th May 2024) is the last day of the 2023-2024 season for the the last of the ski lifts still open at Hakuba Goryu, 47 and Tsugaike.

Lots of cloud yesterday. And lots of cloud/fog around still early this morning, with what looks like limited visibility up on the ski slopes that remain open.

Clear blue skies. There might not be much snow left, and it definitely ain't fluffy, but it's going to be a really good day to be out there.

After the spookily hazy kind of day yesterday, things seem somewhat improved this morning.

Fine and warm weather again this morning.
