Ah, the last day of the year.

Some more fresh snow to report to you this Sunday morning. Resorts are generally reporting up to 5-10cm on the mountain and I can record 5cm to the reports.

OK so 16cm of fresh snow to report and lots going on.

Up to 50cm being reported on mountains this morning.

It's good to feel much colder this morning and it really is a beautiful morning.

Yesterday, unfortunately, we did get some rain as those temperatures stubbornly remain too mild.

Good morning from Hakuba, and a good one it is.

We're looking nicely frosted this morning.

I bring you some decent snowy news.

3cm of fresh snowfall on the ground. Happo-one are reporting 10-15cm on the mountain and Cortina are reporting 3cm.

Phew. There's so much to cover this morning. But I'm not complaining!

I bring good news - ski areas opening from tomorrow!

It is nice to see some white this morning down to village level and we're all looking pretty this morning with lots of blue sky and sunshine with a bank of cloud around the mountains.

There's no snow to report just yet folks, but the wait should soon be over with lower temperatures and decent snow on the forecasts.
