New snowfall at base 16cm
Snowfall at base this season 88cm

Good morning from Hakuba.
The snow headlines:
Hakuba Cortina: 50cm (base-top)
Hakuba Goryu: 10cm (base); 25cm (top)
Hakuba 47: 10cm (base); 20cm (top)
Hakuba Iwatake: 20cm-30cm
Hakuba Happo-one: 10cm (top of Adam gondola)
Ding ding ding ding ding! - we have a clear winner... Cortina are reporting a whopping 50cm of fresh snow base to top this morning. Oh yes, I want to get deep in that lot!
While Tsugaike Kogen do not give out such numbers, they are also adding a fair bit to their snow depths and so it looks like the northern resorts in particular have been on the receiving end of some serious dumpage. (Tsugaike also now have their Karamatsu course open so it looks like you can ride back down to Gondola base).
There's some pretty decent snow reported around other parts of the valley too, so conditions should be good out there this morning.
I am measuring 16cm to add to my numbers.
The Hakuba Sanosaka area is (re-)opening from today.
I am totally looking forward to being able to not have to check and report on 'courses open' kind of info. Perhaps soon! The forecast remains 'snow' for the next few days. Come on... more, more, more.
Have a fine day wherever you are.
