It looks like the warm weather has passed and we are back into the cold winter. Yesterday there was some light snowfall that amounted to 4cm.
Furano Now: Monday 16th December 2019
Just a couple of centimeters of new snow has fallen since the last report. The Furano Zone is now fully open .
Furano Now: Sunday 15th December 2019
It is mainly cloudy today with some light snow falling. The snow will be off and on during the day, and falls are expected to be light.
Furano Now: Saturday 14th December 2019
Good to see it is snowing again even if it is only lightly. There is a moderate wind at the moment and 1cm of new snow has accumulated so far.

The rain yesterday changed to snow late morning as predicted.

Yesterday was a full day of severe winds from morning to night.

It is a windy day but the extreme winds in the early hours of the morning have reduced to a moderate level as I write this.

Snow coverage has really improved on the ski area in the last couple of days.

Since yesterday's report a further 20cm of snow has accumulated on the ground in the ski village.

It is a very nice morning with a thin layer of cloud and sunshine breaking through to the village.

Soon after the report was posted yesterday a snow front hit us dumping 9cm of snow in the village and 28cm of nice new powder on the ski area.

A little rain hit the village last night but this morning we are back in full winter mode.

After the tropical weekend, yesterday felt very cold with a persistent wind and temperatures hovering around freezing throughout the day.

Yesterday strong winds and snow hit Furano, depositing a little more snow on the ground.
