Independent snow and weather reporting from the Furano region of Hokkaido

New snowfall at base 9cm
Snowfall at base this season 78cm

Posted on Friday 29th November 2019 This is an archived report. The latest Furano Now report can be found here.

Soon after the report was posted yesterday a snow front hit us dumping 9cm of snow in the village and 28cm of nice new powder on the ski area. Needless to say the slopes are once again in nice powdery condition and the effect of last weekends warm blip has disappeared. Today is mainly cloudy and the temperatures will remain well below 0c during the day. The next significant new snow is forecast for mid next week.
