Earlier light snow eased off as of 9am and it is mostly cloudy but visibility looks pretty decent at the moment.

Not much snow to report since yesterday. The clouds have (for the most part) cleared and we are being treated to some lovely sunny weather this morning in Zao.

Light snow falling as I write the report this morning and over 20cm to report as it continues to build up. Renewed conditions should be good again today, though visibility is limited again.

And this morning I have some decent snowfall to report. Heavy snowfall which is great to see, 34cm of it in fact.

Yesterday was busy, busy out there and we can expect more of that today on this long January weekend.

Lots of fresh snow on the ground this morning. Great scenes of locals struggling to cope with it and happy skiers out to hit the slopes.

Not as much snow on the ground as I was expecting - 19cm - but I think the strong winds are to blame for some of that, blowing it all around. It is lovely and light.
