A bit of sunshine and quite a lot of blue sky this morning actually. There's still a fair amount of cloud around but it's really nice conditions this morning here in Nozawa.

Another mixed bunch of weather for us today I think. It was snowing lightly earlier, but stopped now.

After some clearer skies yesterday, it's a snowy Chrismtas morning here in Nozawa, which always seems just so fitting.
Nozawa Now: Tuesday 23rd December 2014
A lot of snow up on the top areas of Nozawa - 35-37cm being reported by the resort on the top Uenotaira and Yamabiko areas respectively.

After the limited lift operations and courses open yesterday, we seem to be back to where we were with the top runs once again open today and the Gondola scheduled to start it's day of work at 8:40am.

Lower areas only open this morning due to windy conditions on the mountain.

Back to normal with the lifts and courses this morning and 10cm or so of fresh snow to report.

Did you see Nozawa on the news yesterday? Nozawa as well as relatively close-by Myoko and Tsunan in Niigata Prefecture all made the national news with the silly amounts of snow that has been falling in the region.
